Audi R8 2004
SCX has done another Audi R8 and this time it is the Le Mans winner from 2004 with the Danish Tom Kristen-
sen behind the steeringwheel. At this page I will tell you how to repair the faults that SCX have done or cor-
rect the things SCX left out! But if you're not into starting painting you new car, the SCX model is not so bad
after all.
SCX's Audi R8 from Le Mans 2004.
The real stuff crossing the finsih line at Le Mans 2004
The rear wing has no decal on top, so you have to
make a "Audi Japan" for the white part of the rear
wing.

Now it is time for the balck paint and a small brush.
You must paint a thin black line along the air intakes
right side. And the inside of the driver's place should
be black and you also need to paint black inside the
front lights.
Let's begin with the red "5" just in front of the driver.
This does no't exist on the real car and have to be
removed! With a little drop of methalyzed spirit on a
cotton swab you can easily remove the "5", but be
carefully not to come close to the other decals!
The red "5" on the side of the car are worse to deal
with. They have to be black "5"s, so here you have to
make some new decals or keep the red ones.
The driver also needs you attention! SCX has tried to
make Tom Kristensen's helmet, but the red lines are
missing around the vizor. And on both sides there
should be three stripes in blue, yellow and green.
The driver's suit is white with black sleeves up to the
elbows and red from the elbows to the middle of the
overarm.
Inside the front lights you have to paint black, but
be careful when you take the glasses out of the
body. And don't black over the LEDs.
You now have a SCX Audi R8 from Le Mans 2004 you can be proud of!
