Progress I was able to swap my red borders for green borders and I have painted the white squares yellow, so now my curbs looks like the curbs of Le Mans. I have been thinking about painting the curbs yellow and red as I live in a town called Solroed (Sunred if you translate it to English), but it is something I must test. So far - here's the yellow/blue curbs. And I've painted the red borders on the powerbase green, so they look more like the borders on the rest of the track. |
Right now I'm doing some testing of the PC Lap Counter program and the SCX Digital RMS program - both programs made by Guy Langenakens - to see which program I will buy. PC Lap Counter works both for analog and digital racing while SCX Digital RMS is written solely for SCX Digital racing. More on this process later. |
I had two days set off for testing both the PC Lap Counter program and the SCX Digital RMS, but the first day went just getting the interface to work due to a faulty manual. The second day I tested the SCX Digital RMS and I made a pit lane with three straight LC's to be able to choose pit boxes but was not able to re-fuel the cars. Seems like if you use the pit box, you also need to use the pit lane that comes with it. Had Joe and his son Mark over to race a 100 laps race against my son Simon on my small test circuit with only one straight LC and Simon made me proud and won the race! I can't say the test was 100% succesful but I learned a lot of the two programs but has realise that you do need the pit box, the chronometer and the lap counter with the expansions! |
