Le Mans 2010

My third visit to Le Mans was in the year 2010 and here
are some of my pictures from the trip.
I can strongly recommend that you go there - not just
friday to sunday, but at least monday to sunday, because
so many thing happen throught out the week.
Unfortunately this year ACO had moved the scrutineering to
sunday and monday, so I missed the cars on the first day.

Saturday the 5th of June we - Gert,
John, Bo, Jesper, Mikkel and I plus my
wife and kids - started with breakfast
in Denmark early saturday morning
before driving towards Belgium for the
first sleep-over.

We took off in two cars and I had
some decals with our names made at
work to put in the windows on both
cars and Bo even had race number 7
and some position markers made for
his car.
Bo, Jesper and Mikkel went together
in Bo's car and John, me and Gert
went in Gert's car.

We went to a cheap 1 Star hotel in
Liege - only 47 Euro for each room
with three beds and a bath.
Absolutely nothing special about it -
what you see in the photo is what we
got - but for just one night it was
alright.

After the first stint - 6-7 hour in the
cars - it was time to relax on the
parking place.

We walked 100 meters down the road
to eat at the La Marina restaurant.
The food was great - even though
Gert had something looking like
chicken but it wasn't chicken at all -
and the beer and cokes were plenty!

Back to the hotel and - almost -
straight to bed. Some of the guys sat
at the parking place until 2 o'clock
and had more beer and red wine!
