At this page you will find DVD's that I recommend.
Since 1/3 of my slotcar collection is Le Mans 1970, the first thing I recommed to you must be
the Steve McQueen movie
"Le Mans" which was released in 1971.
To be honest this is not a great movie if you look at the acting part, since it lack a plot in the
movie, but it does have some of the best photage of cars at racing speed ever done. And
Steve McQueen did drive some of the cars during the shooting of the movie.

Some of the racing are shot during the actual Le Mans race in 1970 where Steve McQueen
wasn't allowed to race together with Jackie Stewart by his film company, despite he had shown
his skills in the Sebring 12 hour race weeks before, where he - with a broken foot - drove in his
Porsche 908 to a second place overall together with Peter Revson.
My second recommendation of racing movies must be "Grand Prix" starring James Garner and Yves
Montand from 1966. The new edition comes with 2 discs - disc one with the movie and disc two is a
doc about how the movie was made and how dangerous it was to race in the 1960s, showing drivers
getting killed in races - there are some very awful moments there!

The movie - almost 3 hours - may have a better plot than "Le Mans" and the race scenes are just as
good and even some of the drivers from that era acts in the movie.
"Formula One Grand Prix Collection" with the races of the 1970s is a great collection.
Each disc is a 50 mins review of each year in the 1970s when men were racing drivers
without fear and the 1970s were the years where we saw a great evolution in the racing
cars.
Re-live the golden days of Formula One with world champions Jochen Rindt, Jackie
Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, James Hunt, Mario Andretti, Jody Scheckter and
many more other drivers.
With the Le Mans Collection 1980-1989 it is not a bad way to start your Le Mans DVD collec-
tion. You'll get all the great Le Mans races including the famous Group C cars.
